Death is a bad word, everyone says. The very thought of death leaves us horrified, but do we realize how many of our countrymen have sacrificed their lives in battlegrounds? Yes, we do, by celebrating Memorial Day on the last Monday of May every year. Blue Crab Festival, Downtown Palatka, FL has been considered as the Florida’s largest Memorial Day celebration and includes a variety of performances, exhibition of art and crafts, food festivals, exciting activities such as helicopter rides, air boat rides and much more!
Some of the adventure packed events include Frisbee Dog Show, which will be featuring Harley Davidson, 2008 World Frisbee Dog champion and live performances by Blue Smoke, Dave “Whitewolf” Trezak, kLob, Swinging Medallions and Out of Hand music bands. Besides these, you can also attend 17th Annual Softball Tournament and Florida Seafood Cook-off State Championship.
The Blue Crab Festival, FL also exhibits traditional arts and crafts from St Augustine area and throughout the state of Florida, infact from all over the Southern United States area.
