How selfish can we be? Stuck in the competition for development, we have forgotten that being good is more important than being better! Fighting for a better financial status and prestige is one thing, but do we even realize what wrong our activities are doing to our Mother Earth? Global warming is an issue which affects each and every country in the same way! In order to raise an awareness about negative effects of human activities on the environment, Jefre Manuel, an environment artist, built a buoyant platform with synthetic materials and stitched it with a variety of wetland plants in Lake Eola, Downtown Disney, Orlando, FL on this Earth Day (22nd April).
Lake Eola, a 23 acre natural lake in the heart of Downtown Orlando,FL is home to a variety of swans and aquatic plants. The pathetic condition of the lake, which has started resembling like a drainage pond, provoked Jefre Manuel to take a step to confront Global Warming. He built a 30 feet square platform with a hole in the center and attached a variety of plants on it, which according to him, is what Lake Eola, FL ought to have more of, to provide a healthy habitat for the aquatic animals.
Simple efforts like these do have the potential to trigger some thoughts in the minds of spectators. The guests to Lake Eola park, FL will be able to see this floating piece of nature, created by Jefre Manuel, throughout this month
