When you are planning your activities for your holidays Orlando, go beyond the thrill rides of the major theme parks and look at the other great places where you can enjoy varied experiences. There are a lot of reasons why millions are drawn to this tourist hotspot all year round.
Ask around and find out what makes Orlando tick for many people and you will be surprised at how varied the responses that you will get. People who love and have close affinity with nature, culture and the arts, fine cuisine, science and the movies share a common interest of going to Orlando to experience their brand of rest and recreation.
For those individuals and traveling groups who want to look beyond the popular norm of going to theme parks while in Orlando can consider the other attractions that abound its rich landscape. Consider this wide array of choices – 168 world class golf courses, renowned Orlando beaches, hot air balloon rides, and horseback riding, to name a few. My favourite Orlando experience is living out my fantasy of being a Harley Davidson rider. I normally start my holidays Orlando by riding a rented bike and heading off to all directions and destinations not frequented by the crowd.
My wife and I were able to find the middle ground in as far as our holiday option is concerned. We both love holidays Orlando albeit for different reasons. While I am at my own version of Orlando discovery expedition, my wife usually goes on her personal commune with the finer things in life. Her favourite destinations in Orlando include Millenia Fine Art, Orlando Opera, the Shakespeare Festival and the Cornell Fine Arts Museum.
Our friends are quite amused and surprised at how we spend our holidays Orlando. Believe it or not, we find ourselves being drawn closer to each other every time we travel to Orlando. Indeed, Orlando is a place where everything is possible.

Don’t ever make the mistake of believing that you have already seen everything that Orlando can offer. There is one destination in Orlando that will surely elicit all the oohs and the aahs from anyone who gets the thrilling experience of covering its two main attractions – the world showcase and the Future world.
The first attractions that greet those who visit the EPCOT are the imaging stations known as the “Leave a Legacy.” Here your company can have the opportunity to etch your images and be a permanent part of the Sculpture. Once you are able to capture those images, you will also be given access to these same images online when you get back home.
The first half of your EPCOT adventure is the amazing “Future World.” This area offers a wide array of thrill rides which can surely increase the level of excitement for those who want to experience the adrenaline rush. As soon as you are done with the imaging staging stations, you can immediately check out the Universe of Energy and the Spaceship pavilion. These is you can experience the wonders of the Universe and even assemble your version of the human body using 3D technology. My personal favorite is the fun ride that showcases Ellen Degeneres.
You can start your out of this world exploration if you move further up to Space pavilion. In this section of the EPCOT, you will get the chance to fight off giant meteors and become the savior and hero of Mother Earth. This is a must for those space explorer wannabes. You can set the level of challenge from the moderate to the more thrilling encounters and your group can work on your mission as a team of space explorers.
If you are a true blue speedster, then you should not miss the Test Track Pavilion. Strap yourself up and face all the exciting hair-pin curves, bumpy drives and banked curves at a speed of 60 mph.
So in your next holidays Orlando, make sure to include in your itinerary a visit to EPCOT. You will surely discover that it is one of the most important places to be while you are in Orlando.
